Job Description
As an Associate Advisor, you will work closely with the Senior Wealth Advisors and clients to deliver financial planning solutions and maintain & build client relationships. The Associate Advisor is involved throughout the process of onboarding new clients but does not have direct sales responsibilities. Instead the value that Associate Advisor brings is understanding the recommendations of the Senior Wealth Advisor, being able to document & implement the plans, and acting as a liaison for the senior Wealth Advisors in fielding calls and proactively communicating with clients on any and all issues of concern. Additionally, the Associate Advisor oversees the execution of all task related to her or his client base across the team ensuring a timely and consistent experience.
This is a role with a high level of client interaction, primarily over the phone and email. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with deep financial planning knowledge. In this role, you will assist the team in servicing existing client relationships by becoming intimately familiar with each client’s financial circumstances, needs, and objectives. You’ll develop a deep understanding of Socium Advisors’ planning philosophy, be able to make recommendations for planning solutions, and become a key person both for clients and the team.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years financial planning experience
- Securities licensing: Series 7 (obtain within 5 months of start date) and Series 6 or 63 (obtain within 90 days of start date)
- Insurance licensing: Missouri Life & Health licensed (obtain within 30 day of start date)
- Entrepreneurial spirit – passionate, optimistic, and willing to execute
- Extremely strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
- Ability to work with limited guidance and demonstrate problem solving capabilities
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and professional business setting
- Passion for learning
- Comfort and ability working in a collaborative, cross functional, team-based environment

As a Portfolio Manager, you will work closely with all members of the Portfolio Management team as well as Wealth Management Advisors and Client Service team of a rapidly growing financial planning practice. This role supports the firm’s trading and investment activities as well as provides governance across Portfolio team.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the client’s investment plan based on the defined investment philosophy of the practice (including account trading and rebalancing to target parameters)
- Prepare materials for client reviews (e.g. performance analysis, transition plans, account activity)
- Prepare materials to support advisors in the sales process (e.g. presentations, holding analysis)
- Develop and refine firm’s trading alert (e.g. asset allocation drift, high cash, concentrated positions)
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Portfolio team with Compliance
- Become an expert on our trading platform and share best practices with the team
- Monitor account funding status; expedite any additional transfer requirements
- Communicate with home office, as needed, to supply or obtain information
- Serve as the liaison for the Portfolio team with the Operations team on all process and procedures
